Vietnam veterans George McCoy of Marietta and Dan Bennett of Cumming prepare chili dogs for current troops who are traveling through Atlanta’s airport on Operation R and R. McCoy served two tours in Vietnam as an airborne infantry officer, part of 35 years in the US Army, retiring in 1986 as a colonel. He also served 10 years as deputy commissioner of the Georgia State Department of Veterans Services. Bennett served two tours in Vietnam as a Air Force flight engineer on AC 119 gunships.
