Stories of Atlanta

Little package – Big voice

Lance Russell

They say, big things come in small packages and, usually, when a phrase like that populates our lexicon, there is a reason. Most often, that reason is because, more times than not, it’s true. Another such phrase that comes to mind is don’t judge a book by its cover. Whichever phrase you lean to, there’s no denying that either one fits very nicely with the subject of this week’s Stories of Atlanta.

When Brenda Lee….all 4 feet 9 inches of her …..belted out ” Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” in 1958, she was all of 13 years of age. The holiday song has been played millions and millions of times over the last 60 years, and I have no doubt that it will still be heard via some medium 100 years hence.
