Atlanta Technical College Ranked Amongst Best Online Schools by Study.com

Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is proud to announce its ranking by Study.com as one of the best online Associate Degrees Programs in the United States.  This ranking reflects some of the best qualities of ATC, including accessibility, affordability, quality of content, and excellence in academics and student services.  Given the current situation in the state of Georgia, Atlanta Technical College is encouraging all students to utilize these online resources to remain safe and prevent the spread of the Coronavirus.

“We are honored to receive this distinction as one of the best places for online education in the nation,” said Dr. Victoria Seals, President, ATC. “Almost 67% of our student body has taken an online course, and ensuring that they are supported is a top concern for the College.  We prioritize our students’ health and safety above all, and we encourage them to maintain that health by practicing social distancing and remain indoors during this time. Atlanta Technical College offers the online assets that our students need at this time to stay on top of their classwork and Stay Strong during this time.”

Study.com receives traffic from over 40 million users a month, with an audience that includes current and prospective students.  The enrollment in the online courses at ATC has gone up every year, with the number peaking this year with over 3,700 students taking at least one course online.

Spring Fling and Census Workshop

The Spring Fling is an annual event dedicated to enjoying the spring weather, bringing the community together, and informing students of opportunities available to them.  This year’s focus included the 2020 Census and the importance of voter registration.

Instead of a physical gathering, our Spring Fling event was pre-recorded via Zoom and shared out to our student population using YouTube.  Hosted by ATC community members Director of Student Services Ms. Dessie Hall, Rick Perkins Instructor of the Year Award winner Mr. Robert Leach, and Student Government Association President Mr. Bradrick Johnson, the Spring Fling event featured instructions on the importance of the Census and its significance and activities people can do in the home while maintaining proper distancing practices.

Summer Online Courses

Because of the recent quarantine and stay in place order, Atlanta Technical College is making sure our students can remain on top of their coursework by offering upcoming Summer courses.  These can be completed in one semester, in multiple departments including Business Technology, Business Management, and Computer Information Systems.

These courses will count for full credit hours and be counted towards graduation.  Atlanta Technical College is committed to its mission of providing lifelong educational opportunities and experiences through academic and innovative career preparation, and that includes online flexible learning opportunities.

Included in the online offerings available to the ATC Family are resources for how to fully become an online student here on Atlanta Technical College’s website. Atlanta Technical College’s priority is student safety during this time in our city’s history, and we are dedicated to ensuring student success as they stay strong and finish strong.
