Readers: You heard/read it here first

Usually, I’m not one to gloat, but I can’t help myself.

Today’s says that City Councilman Ceasar Mitchell is withdrawing from the mayor’s race so he can enter the race for City Council president.

That information was posted last Thursday on SaportaReport.

Also, my front-page piece in the Atlanta Business Chronicle broke the story about Lisa Borders re-entering the mayor’s race on Friday, March 27.

The AJC “refuted” that story the next day. But lo-and-behold, Borders announced her candidacy on April 2.

Lastly, on Monday morning in Maria’s Metro, I urged Gov. Sonny Perdue to call a special session to resolve unfinished business with MARTA and transportation funding.

Later that afternoon, MARTA issued the same request.

In other words, you heard it here first.
