The creation of an eyesore

There is no question that Atlanta’s Downtown Connector, when unobstructed, is a benefit to the region’s commuters. There is also no question that much was lost as a result of the construction of the Downtown Connector. Some of that loss was anticipated, some of it was not. This is so sad. Our thoughts on urban development was so counter to being urban or development. The Medical Arts Building is has a beautiful facade. Atlanta needs this type of building as a part of the urban fabric as it develops quickly into the future.

The Downtown Connector is a life line for the city but I agree with Cliff. Studies need to be commissioned and action taken to cap parts of the Downtown Connector to reconnect neighborhoods.Report
