Welcome to the new and improved SaportaReport

After five months online, SaportaReport is delighted to let you know of some improvements to our site.

Most significantly is the addition of Lyle Harris, a longtime colleague of mine at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Lyle was a reporter and later an editorial writer focusing on the environment, housing, land-use and transportation issues.

Now he will be contributing his expertise to a weekly SaportaReport column as well as write stories of what’s going on in town.

Lyle also will be integrally involved in helping line up our Guest Columnists each week as well as the editing of their copy.

I’m delighted to welcome Lyle as a partner on SaportaReport, and I know you will all enjoy reading what Lyle has to say.

A couple of other enhancements. We have added a place on the home page for my Atlanta Business Chronicle stories. And we have added links to our most recent comments. And we will have a blog roll of our favorite websites in town.

Thank you so much for reading SaportaReport. We hope to continue to offer you news, information and analysis of what is going on in our region and state, and how we can help be a constructive force in town.
