By this time next year, shovels could be chucking dirt to launch construction of Atlanta Housing’s (AH) biggest development in years.
Dubbed Englewood South — a callback to the Englewood Manor public housing projects leveled at the southside Atlanta location years ago — the proposed development would offer more than 900 new residences, more than 17,000 square feet of office space and more than 121,000 square feet of “neighborhood-serving retail, greenspace and community uses,” according to AH materials.

Meet the new slum. Same as the old slum. Pile poor people into one place and that’s what you get. The only way to cure poverty is by surround kids with examples of a better life, which is impossible when everyone around them is poor.
