Goodwill North Georgia recently celebrated the achievements of its latest graduating class from the esteemed workforce training program. A ceremony for 370 graduates was held at Truist Park Delta Sky Club, featuring Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens as a guest speaker and Rodney Bullard, CEO of The Same House, delivering the keynote address.

This year’s graduating class has seen remarkable success, with over 160 graduates securing positions with top employers such as Amazon, Georgia Department of Transportation, Kubota, Cottrell, FedEx, RNN Group, Marta, Old Navy, and Goodwill itself.

This year’s graduation also highlighted the exceptional accomplishments of two ‘Graduates of the Year’ from different regions of North Georgia. Anthony Basciani from the Woodstock Career Center excelled in the welding program and embarked on a career with ST Metal Works. At the same time, Krishanda Benton from the Metropolitan Parkway Career Center successfully transitioned from the Phlebotomy program to a role at Messiah For Life.

Goodwill of North Georgia has been dedicated to identifying the workforce needs of communities across the region and developing programs to train individuals in various skilled trades and career opportunities. The organization’s Career Centers offer a wide range of no-cost training programs, including Customer Service, Environmental Services, Phlebotomy, Welding, Youth Employment Services, Highway Construction, and more. The organization has maintained its position as the number one Goodwill in the country for connecting people with jobs. Last year, the organization connected more than 22,000 individuals to new jobs.The organization is dedicated to meeting the needs of all individuals, including veterans, people with disabilities, youth, single parents, the underemployed, and those with criminal backgrounds. Goodwill is committed to ensuring that everyone seeking employment receives the necessary support and opportunities.
