If you’ve spent a spring in Atlanta you know two things for certain: pollen and festivals. Spring is when everyone emerges from their long winter hibernation to play in the streets once more. This year, April is jam packed with festivals during every upcoming weekend, so although the pollen may hinder your mood — don’t complain that there’s nothing to do.
Atlanta Dogwood festival, SweetWater 420 fest and Inman Park Festival & Tour of Homes have been long-time favorites for Atlantans. Whether you choose to attend one or all, here are the details of each.
89th Annual Atlanta Dogwood Festival

Atlanta Dogwood Festival, which is celebrating it’s 89th year, will kickoff in Piedmont Park on April 11 and will run through the weekend. The festival will bring an extensive range of fine art from 260 different artists to peruse along with three days of live music and entertainment, many food and beverage options and fun activities for adults and children. This festival is free, but VIP tickets are available for purchase.
The festival boasts two stages — one dedicated to live music and the other to internationally themed performances. Friday and Saturday night headliners include British rock and Jimi Hendrix tributes, while the International Stage welcomes performers from nearly every part of the globe. To cap off the festivities on Saturday, a fireworks show over the Midtown skyline will take place around 9 p.m.
SweetWater 420 Fest

SweetWater 420 Fest returns on April 18-20 and is jam-packed with live music from The Revivalists, Marcus King, Greensky Bluegrass, Cypress Hill, Drive-By Truckers, Lawrence and more.
The festival, which made its debut in 2005, is returning to Kirkwood’s Pullman Yards, where it moved last year. Tickets can be purchased for one-day admission or the whole weekend starting at $80 for a one-day pass and $195 for three-day passes.
All tickets holders can pedal and push their way to 420 Fest with a complimentary bike and scooter valet available for safe, secure storage of their ride.
Inman Park Festival & Tour of Homes

Inman Park Festival which started in the 1970s, originally as a way to attract attention to revitalization efforts in the community is still going strong as it is the largest all-volunteer festival of its kind. The weekend kicks off with Tour of Homes on Friday, April 25 followed by the festival which runs through Sunday, April 27.
The festival boasts live music, kids activities, a Tour of Homes, a street parade, an artists’ market as well as a theatre night with performances from Dad’s Garage, Horizon Theatre Company and 7 Stages.
The festival is free and Tour of Homes tickets can be purchased for $35.

I appreciate the information you provide.
The Tour of Homes is always a highlight — definitely worth the ticket. Can’t wait for the parade and to check out the performances from Dad’s Garage and Horizon Theatre too. This is truly one of Atlanta’s best traditions
