Small Business Opportunity Week brings together small businesses, corporate leaders and community partners for a week focused on connection, recognition and opportunity.
Hosted by the Georgia Business Council, the week is designed to give business owners greater access to executives, procurement leaders and potential partners through networking, executive conversations, matchmaking and corporate engagement. Each event is structured to help businesses build relationships, expand their networks and identify new opportunities.
The week begins Monday, September 21, with the Kickoff Mixer from 9 a.m. to noon at Roosevelt Hall. Participants will have an opportunity to connect with small businesses and SBIC Industry Group leaders while building relationships and exploring potential opportunities.
On Tuesday, September 22, the Virtual Matchmaker will take place from 1 to 5 p.m. The virtual event will connect small businesses directly with corporate and procurement leaders for targeted discussions about capabilities, sourcing needs and potential business opportunities.
The week concludes Friday, September 25, with the Spirit of Alliance Awards & Corporate Roundtable from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Southern Company Gas Headquarters. The event will recognize outstanding leaders and organizations while also creating opportunities for businesses to connect with corporate decision-makers and explore potential relationships.
For participating businesses, the week provides more than a series of events. It creates concentrated access to people and organizations that can help businesses better understand marketplace needs, strengthen relationships and position themselves for future opportunities.
Business owners should come prepared to clearly communicate what they do, the value they provide and the types of opportunities they are positioned to pursue.
