As we close out 2024, the Atlanta Beltline Partnership thanks its partners, corporate sponsors, donors, and volunteers for powering tremendous growth. As we collectively work with Atlanta Beltline, Inc. and others to connect 45 neighborhoods, build community, and promote sustainable economic development in Atlanta for generations to come, we’re grateful for the support we receive in helping us get people where they need to go–literally and figuratively.

Together, we can build on this momentum and reach new milestones in 2025. Here’s how our supporters have fueled progress for the Atlanta Beltline in 2024 and why every donation matters now more than ever.

INVESTING IN THE PEOPLE OF ATLANTA

This year, our community of supporters–from foundation partners and corporate donors to the Connector’s Circle and generous individuals–have helped create meaningful programs and resources for communities across our city. Donations have been invested directly back into what makes the city’s heart beat–its people.

  • Protecting Legacy Residents: The Legacy Resident Retention Program ensures longtime Atlanta homeowners remain in their homes and benefit from rising property values. This program has helped 241 homeowners afford property tax increases, strengthening community roots and enabling families to build generational wealth through their home ownership.
  • Empowering Homeowners Workshops: Over 367 residents participated in home empowerment workshops in 2024, learning about financial management and how to plan for buying a home by building a strong credit profile, mastering budgeting techniques and learning how to get the best mortgage rates and terms, ultimately resulting in greater economic stability for people along the Beltline.
  • Supporting Homeowners and Renters in Need: Donor-funded programs like Neighbor-to-Neighbor and partnerships to promote permanent affordability with the Atlanta Land Trust further contributed to the Atlanta Beltline Partnership being named as HouseATL’s 2024 Housing Retention Hero.
  • Building Up Local Businesses: The Atlanta Beltline Marketplace is a program to put entrepreneurs and small businesses in affordable commercial spaces in custom containers along the trail. With philanthropic support, the program has more than doubled in size and will have 14 businesses participate in four Beltline locations in 2025.

CREATING A PATHWAY TO CONNECTION

The Atlanta Beltline has always been more than a trail: it connects Altantans to community and opportunity. In 2024, donors funded trail extensions and green space expansions that foster unique ways to engage with the city. Donor generosity brings the community closer to the vision of a fully connected Atlanta.

  • Creating New Trails: Seven trail segments are currently under construction. With the help of philanthropic support, 85% of the 22-mile mainline trail will be complete or underway by the end of this year.
  • Adding Greenspace to the Westside Trail: Donations are helping fund Enota Park, which is scheduled to break ground in early 2025 and will create a welcoming, accessible place for residents to gather, play, and relax.
  • Exploring the Beltline by Bike: Donors fuel Beltline bike tours that offer a fun way to experience the trail, discover new areas, and connect with Atlanta’s expanding Beltline.
  • Celebrating Diverse Voices: Donor-supported initiatives like Atlanta Beltline Art provide a place for all Atlantans to share their voices, experiences, and values through art.

PROMOTING HEALTH IN THE COMMUNITY

Health and wellness are essential to a thriving community, and donors and volunteers have made it possible for more Atlantans to move, connect, and thrive. From state-of-the-art biking facilities to free fitness programs, donations have transformed the Beltline into a hub for active lifestyles and community well-being.

  • Getting Ready to Roll: Westside Park will soon have a new Bike Park and trails for cycling enthusiasts and families. Funds are still needed to support construction, which is expected to begin by the end of 2025.
  • Spreading the Gift of Movement: Atlanta’s largest free fitness program remains so because of ongoing donations. Support helps fund over 300+ Fitness Classes along the Beltline taught by 20 fitness instructors, building community connections and local businesses.
  • Forging a Path to Community: Individual donations fund the Weekly Beltline Run Club, which hosts 45 group runs across nine rotating Beltline locations in partnership with the Atlanta Track Club. These events foster fitness, camaraderie, and a sense of community among participants.

Help Keep the Boundless Momentum Going

This year’s substantial progress would not have been possible without our donors. In 2025, we’ll need even more support to expand programs and ensure the Beltline remains a sustainable, accessible resource for everyone in Atlanta.

By giving now, you’re pushing the community to new heights in 2025. Join us as we continue building a Beltline that uplifts all Atlantans next year and every year.
