The Georgia Minority Supplier Development Council (GMSDC) will close its milestone 50th anniversary year with its 2025 Annual Meeting & Year in Review on Thursday, December 11, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the National Center for Civil and Human Rights. The event will bring together corporate leaders, small businesses, community partners, and long-time supporters for an afternoon of reflection, recognition, and conversation about the future of inclusive economic growth in Georgia.

For 50 years, GMSDC has worked at the intersection of business opportunity and equity, supporting minority-owned businesses, strengthening corporate supply chains, and helping fuel Georgia’s economic engine. This year’s Annual Meeting offers a chance to look back on the partnerships and milestones that have shaped the Council’s work, while also setting the stage for what comes next.

This year, registration for the Annual Meeting also serves as a contribution to GrowForward, GMSDC’s 50th anniversary campaign created to help strengthen Georgia’s small business community. The goal is to raise $100,000 by December 31 to support scholarships, mentorship, and capacity-building programs designed to expand opportunity across the state.

GrowForward advances several cornerstone initiatives, including:

The Johnnie B. Booker Scholarship, which gives small business leaders access to executive education at schools such as the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
Georgia Mentor Protégé Connection, a signature program that pairs emerging businesses with senior corporate mentors to build operational excellence and long-term growth.
The Community Business Development Program, which takes training and hands-on support into communities across the state, focusing on underserved regions.
The Georgia Education Foundation, which helps expand GMSDC’s reach through education, leadership development, and community-focused programming.

Every registration moves the Council closer to its fundraising goal and every contribution helps small businesses gain the skills, confidence, and connections they need to compete and thrive.

During the Annual Meeting, GMSDC will highlight accomplishments from the past year, recognize partners who have helped advance the mission, and share insights on the current state of minority business development in Georgia. As the 50th anniversary celebration comes to a close, the Council will reflect on its legacy and outline its vision for the next decade of impact.

“Your participation is more than attendance, it is an investment in the future of Georgia’s business ecosystem,” said GMSDC CEO and President Stacey J. Key. “As we honor our legacy, we are also building the foundation for the next generation of diverse business leaders.”

GMSDC invites corporations, MBEs, and community stakeholders to join in this celebration and help shape the future of economic inclusion in Georgia.
