Leadership Atlanta unveils the 77 people who will be part of 2015 Class

By Maria Saporta

In one of the best indicators of the city’s up-and-coming leaders, Leadership Atlanta on Friday unveiled the list of the 77 people who will participate in its 2015 Class.

It is a diverse list of leaders that represent all sectors of Atlanta – education, law, nonprofit, technology, media, healthcare and goverment.

The common bond is that they share a desire to move Atlanta forward by delving deeply into the city’s issues.

During the nine-month program, the 2015 Class will learn more about the region by participating in retreats, full-day seminars, service projects, discussion groups and community tours as well as other impactful immersion activities.

Class members also will examine themselves as leaders and build relationships of trust and mutual understanding with each other.

Kevin Green, president of the Midtown Alliance, will be the Program Chair for the Class of 2015.

“So much has changed in the metro region since I graduated from Leadership Atlanta in 2006,” Green said. “There are many opportunities to create a long-term positve impact, and I look forward to working with this impressive group to make that happen.”

Leadership Atlanta is the oldest continuously running training program of its type in the country.

It was formed in the early 1970’s, and it quickly addressed the growing need for a trained cadre of leaders to move metro Atlanta towards unity and shared prosperity.

More than 44 years later, Leadership Atlanta continues to educate, inspire and connect local leaders in adherence with the principles upon which it was founded.
