“We’re excited about the energy and perspective that Dwayna will bring to our team,” said Katie Kirkpatrick, president and CEO of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. “Her experience working with Fortune 500 brands and leveraging multiplatform storytelling will be integral to our continued work to promote metro Atlanta as a premier location for businesses and to attract and retain talent.”

Haley will guide MAC’s brand positioning and lead marketing and communications efforts related to economic development and ecosystem expansion. She will also oversee ChooseATL, the Chamber’s initiative that targets next-generation talent.

Additionally, Haley will help to drive collaboration and cohesion across the organization as the Chamber continues to advance work around its three strategic pillars – Grow, Advocate and Promote.

“Atlanta is a globally recognized, trendsetting region that offers such rich territory for driving thought leadership in culture, innovation and equity for our communities and beyond,” Haley said in a release. “I look forward to serving our stakeholders and residents in this collaborative effort to continue demonstrating why Atlanta is the city of the future.”

For more than 15 years, Haley has led public relations and marketing campaigns for Fortune 500 brands. Recently as executive vice president and North American growth lead at Porter Novelli, she led business development and revenue growth strategy for the agency’s largest global territory (U.S. and Canada). Previously, she served Porter Novelli’s senior vice president and practice director for the brand, innovation and impact portfolio responsible for integrated communications strategy. She was also inducted into the 2018 class of PR Week’s 40 under 40 and the 2019 inaugural class of PRSA Georgia Chapter’s 40 under 40.

Prior to joining Porter Novelli, Haley worked at MSLGROUP where she was account director and senior client lead for the agency’s third largest global and largest U.S. integrated digital account in the network, Comcast/XFINITY. Early in her career, she worked within the consumer brand practice at Ketchum managing brand visibility and media campaigns for Kodak, Kellogg’s and Clorox.

Haley currently serves on the board of the Georgia-based nonprofit, Helping Mamas – an organization that provides baby and feminine hygiene products to people in need.

She is a graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations and Advertising and she was recently inducted into the College of Media and Entertainment Wall of Fame. She resides in Atlanta with her husband, Bryan, and their children, Noah and Lillian.

Haley replaces the position of Deisha Barnett, who left the Chamber in May to join UPS
