Thousands lined the streets of downtown Atlanta on Aug. 30 for the 25th annual Dragon Con Parade, a costumed brigade that celebrates all things pop culture.

This year’s Labor Day convention rang in 75,000 attendees across five days. Cosplayers, mega-fans and industry stars took over the city for panels, photos and the parade.

The convention also raised more than $320,000 for its official charity, the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Georgia. It was named an official charity partner in 2012, and since then, the event has raised funds for a nonprofit every year. Attendees are also encouraged to join in a blood drive. This year more than 3,900 people donated blood through LifeSouth.

2025 marked 39 years of Dragon Con in Atlanta. In almost four decades, the event has exploded to an internationally-known convention with celebrity like Simon Pegg and John Boyega.
