It’s hard to overstate the impact Kent C. “Oz” Nelson had on Atlanta. Nelson, who served as CEO of UPS from 1990 to 1996., died April 6 at the age of 85.

E-scooters and bicycles need their own lanes in Atlanta
Move over automobiles. People are taking over.
In the central areas of Atlanta, a phenomenon of “micro-mobility” is transforming the way people are getting around.
E-scooters, one-wheelers, Segways, electric bicycles and regular bicycles (devices that usually travel at less than 15 miles an hour) are demanding their fair share of the street.
Janette Sadik-Khan: When you change the street, you change the world
Repurposing pavement has a nice ring to it.
That was the message at the Feb. 13th annual meeting of the Midtown Alliance.
A person delivering the message was Janette Sadik-Khan, who changed many of the streets in New York City from being focused on cars to streets for everyone – including pedestrians and cyclists.
