Volunteer in your community June 21
When’s the last time you volunteered? If you have to stop and think about it, it’s probably been awhile. Are you having a hard time connecting to a cause? Maybe you’re not finding opportunities in your community? Or you’re looking for a day where you and other like-minded folks can band together and tackle a community project.
On June 21, United Way of Greater Atlanta is joining thousands of people in more than 300 communities from Greater Atlanta to Ghana for Day of Action. During Day of Action, communities across the globe come together to harness the volunteer spirit and improve the conditions where children and families live.
Assemble literacy kits. Plant a community garden. Compete in a “field day.” Help with career prep. Large-scale opportunities are available at eight locations across Greater Atlanta. And while you’re volunteering, make sure to post photos and use the hashtag #UWDayOfAction.
