Kelly Jordan

Kelly Jordan, who has lived in Atlanta since 1968, attended Emory University before he and partners revitalized Little Five Points into one of Atlanta's most eclectic retail districts. In recent years, Kelly has been leading the Arabia Mountain Heritage Area Alliance, and he has been active with a host of environmental organizations. Decades ago, Kelly wrote architectural criticism for a weekly Atlanta newspaper, and his interest in natural and built environments is readily apparent in the photos he has been taking for SaportaReport.

Nice photos, Kelly. I enjoy vintage trucks Your other photo essays have been interesting, as well.
But of the 28 or so photos, only one (Ormewood) was made (just barely) south of interstate 20. Some were even taken as far north as Cartersville. I guess I wasn’t surprised…….it just seems that most areas south of I-20 (which bisects the city of Atlanta east to west) get regularly ignored on these photo sites. I’m very familiar with the numerous cities, communities, and neighborhoods in the southern portion of the Atlanta Metro area (I grew up in one of them)………and there are plenty of photo-ops for people with your talent in these locations. It would be great to see more of them on this site…..perhaps it would present a broader ‘picture’ (sorry) of our metro area as a whole. Thanks.Report
