Shamrock ‘N Roll With The Junior League of Atlanta This Weekend!

By: Erin Tollison,  Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race Chair, The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc.

If one of your New Year’s resolutions was to be more active and get moving, then it’s time to lace up your running shoes! This Saturday, March 16 at 8:30 a.m., marks the 15th “running” of The Junior League of Atlanta, Inc. (JLA)  Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race. Set again within the streets of Atlantic Station, Shamrock ‘N Roll is a great way to kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend! Offering a 10K, 5K and Kids 1K, this race is one to be enjoyed by the whole family as both strollers & dogs are welcome! Shamrock ‘N Roll draws in the competitive runner trying to hit a PR and also the social walker who’s looking to score the award for the most festive attire! Because of the support of sponsors like Verizon & Northside Hospital, JLA continues to provide the community with a festive, fun morning filled with fitness, entertainment and local vendors.

Join more than 1000 attendees to not only put in 3-6 miles on the pavement, but also to support the work of the JLA, our 3000+ trained volunteers and the service they provide to community partners including the Atlanta Mission, Girls on the Run and Youthspark, to name a few.

The event is always a highly anticipated one for both members and the running community alike, as these testimonials show:

“The Shamrock ‘N Roll Road Race combines two of my favorite things – running and the JLA. For 15 years, the Shamrock ‘N Roll has brought together runners and families to raise funds to support the JLA’s mission to improve the lives of women and children in Atlanta.” ~ Deanna Anderson, former JLA President & 12 years running Shamrock

“I run Shamrock because I get to run it with my dog, Jackson, and love the camaraderie of the race – everyone has their dogs and kids, and it’s such a fun race from warm up until post race.” ~ Sara Simonds, JLA member & 9 years running Shamrock

“I run Shamrock ‘N Roll to help make a community impact through the work of the JLA. Plus, the race is the best way to kickoff your festive weekend with friends and family in Atlanta!” ~Carolina Margarella, 2018 Shamrock ‘N Roll Chair

Whether this year will be the first or the 15th running for you, we hope to see you on the pavement, as we celebrate a milestone year of the race and JLA’S service to the community.  Register today at shamrocknroll.org or plan to register on-site Saturday, March 16!
