The LINK trips also have provided people an opportunity to get to know each other – connecting with leaders from different races, genders and sections of the Atlanta region as well as people from different circles of influence.

Housing advocates call for regional fix to Atlanta’s affordability woes
Local advocates are pressing officials, planners, and developers to tackle the issue of affordable housing after it became one of the most talked-about issues during the 2017 mayoral campaign.

Ever since 1997, a group of more than 100 Atlanta leaders – representing governments, businesses and nonprofits – go to a different city to learn about the best practices that we can bring back to our region. And it also provides an opportunity for leaders from the 10-county region to get to know one another.

Metro Atlanta Speaks: regional support for transit continues to grow
Transit is becoming an easier sell in the Atlanta region.
That is the top finding from the 2017 Metro Atlanta Speaks – the fifth year that the Atlanta Regional Commission has commissioned a comprehensive survey of residents throughout the region. The results were to be released at the ARC’s State of the Region Breakfast on Friday morning.
