Charles Lincoln Harper devoted his life to educating the youth of Atlanta. A graduate of Morris Brown College, Harper served as the founding principal of Booker T. Washington High School, the first secondary school in Atlanta for Black students. As principal, Charles Harper expanded the campus, started the student government, and instituted college preparatory and vocational coursework.
