
Back in the day, there was a long-standing tradition among Atlanta’s elite to spend summers on the coast or in the mountains. But not everyone enjoyed retreating from Atlanta’s summer temperatures. Some chose to remain close at home.
This week we have a tale that begins in the early 1900’s with the building of a family’s summer home and ends with the construction of something that had never before been seen in the City of Atlanta…something that was destined to become one of the Stories of Atlanta.
