What would they think

There is a work of art situated in the heart of downtown Atlanta that reminds Atlantans of the way things used to be. The 36-foot tall metal sculpture stands on a traffic island in the middle of 5-Points and it is an artistic representation of another metal structure that occupied the same space in the late 1800s. That structure was not considered art, but had more to do with survival. The reason is explained in this week’s Stories of Atlanta.
