Coca Cola is an interesting corporate citizen. You see next to nothing of it around town, yet the only civic spaces in this mostly unlivable town are from Asa and his family. Their Hq is set firmly away however GA tech has boosted the area. It’s as if they rose from a pile of crap and spoke architecturally as such.
Downtown Atlanta badly needs residents who care, the tech people and this site are making an attempt. because the corporate citizens do not. And there is good reason why that is.
The next 10 years may prove out if Atlanta becomes like St Louis or holds on. Even if Atlanta becomes worse off, the outer suburbs have taken up the slack so you could see a twin city type thing take off if a second airport up north is ever built. Lots of moving parts with this town.
