Federal judge places resolution of Georgia’s water lawsuit in Trump administration
The federal judge in Brunswick who ruled in favor of Georgia’s lawsuit seeking to overturn an Obama-era water rule has thrown it to the Trump administration to decide which waterways in 11 states are overseen by the federal government and which are controlled by the states.

Rather than being known for Panola Shoals or Albert Shoals, two massive and magnificent rock outcroppings, or one of its other unique natural features, the South River is best known for its long struggle with pollution.

Nation at ‘pivotal moment’ in environmental laws; Monday deadline for comments
The nation is at a “pivotal moment” in environmental law and Monday, April 15 is the deadline for public comment to a proposed ruling by the Trump administration that would reduce the amount of waters and wetlands protected by the Clean Water Act of 1972.

Pushback escalates to Trump proposal to weaken Clean Water Act
Amid reports that the Trump administration intends to announce next week a reduction in the amount of wetlands and waterways covered by the federal Clean Water Act, the Southern Environmental Law Center is condemning the proposed step as the most destructive of Trump’s rollback of environmental rules.
